# What you need to get started

Welcome to Base. \
\
A welcoming community, open to all ideas, creativity and connection. \
\
To get started you are going to need a few things.\
\
1\. A Wallet - known as an EVM Wallet - This is where you store all your tokens / NFTs and can control transactions / interactions with WEB3 applications. There are many available. The most common you may have heard of are Coinbase Wallet, Metamask, Phantom. Set one up and make sure you keep the private key / seed phrase safe\
\
2\. You will need some Ethereum. This is the currency required on Base chain to main all transactions ( swaps, nft swap etc ).  See [how to obtain Base ETH page](/how-to-obtain-base-eth).\
\

# How our Platform Works

At point of creation, tokens are available for trading via a virtual liquidity bonding curve by users. Investors and traders contribute to the liquidity pool (LP) through buying and selling deployed tokens on the Basejump platform. Token trading is done using ETH, on Base using a smart wallet.&#x20;

The bonding curve ETH amount to be filled is customisable by the token deployer between 2 ETH & 100 ETH. Once the set ETH target is filled, the token "Jumps" from Basejump to Uniswap for trading.

When the token "Jumps" to Uniswap, the ETH target is used as liquidity.\

Following "Jump", future trading of the token takes place via Uniswap.

The token supply is used as follows:

* A percentage of it is distributed during the bonding curve phase. This is configurable by users, possible values are: 50%, 66%, 75%, 80%, 85% and 90%.
* Depending on the amount swapped during the bonding curve phase, some of the remaining supply will be used as the Uniswap V2 liquidity and some of it is burned for pricing reasons.

&#x20;Tokens can be tracked on platforms like Dex Screener and Dex Tools, and checked on scanners such as Quick Intel, Go+ Security, token sniffer, SafeAnalyzer etc.


# How to obtain Base ETH

There are many ways of bringing ETH onchain to Base:

1. Send ETH directy from a CEX supporting Base withdrawals. Examples include Coinbase, Binance & Cryptodotcom.&#x20;
2. Bridge from other chains. There are many bridging services, ensure you are comfortable with the safety of a bridge service before using it. Official Base bridge services can be found [`here`](https://bridge.base.org/deposit)


# How to Launch a Token

The steps to create a token are simple, you must be logged in to do these and be holding some ETH.

1. Connect your wallet to [basejump.pro](https://www.basejump.pro/) (top right corner on desktop. On mobile: Left side menu bar),  ensure you are on the Base network and have Base ETH in your EVM wallet (eg. Metamask).
2. On the lefthand side of the page Click on "Add Token" and complete the information for your token:&#x20;

3. Fill out the form, there is a drop down menu to see extra options including social links, token supply & distribution settings and staking allocation. Note these extra features are **optional**. Stake to Earn information is found on [another page](/how-to-launch-a-stake-and-earn-pool)<br>

The pie diagram at bottom of page is a visual representation of how the token supply will be distributed.&#x20;

4. When adding an image, it must be in JPEG/PNG/GIF format. Once successfully uploaded it will appear to the left of "Token Details" at top of page.&#x20;

5. If you wish to make the first buy and hold a DEV share, **you must fill in the First Buy field**. Ensure you have enough ETH to make this swap, on completion of token creation this first buy will be made from token deployer wallet.
6. Once you are happy with your design, double check your info and click Launch Token. A transaction will be generated, approve in your wallet & Voila! You have just created your own customized token ready to be traded and earned on Basejump!


# How to Swap Tokens

To swap tokens on [basejump.pro](https://www.basejump.pro/):

1. Connect wallet (Base)
2. &#x20;Select a token, either from dashboard search, from a swap link (ensure correct) or select token from recent swaps bar at top of dashboard page
3. Once you click on a select token, the swap window appears on the right side of the page next to the chart. (On mobile the swap window is located at the top of the page). Even if a token has jumped to Uniswap, you are still able to swap, this information will appear at the top of the Swap Tab.
4. Enter the amount of ETH or tokens you wish to swap, and you will see the equivalent amount of tokens or ETH you will receive. Press swap and approve the transaction.

5. Use the green arrows icon to change the direction of the swap. ie ETH to Token X, or Token X to ETH.
6. Estimated output based on current Token price action will be shown in the "you get" output. This may slightly differ to actual received amount as these are highly volatile assets.<br>


# How to Launch a Stake & Earn Pool&#x20;

**Stake and Earn** is an innovative development unique to Basejump.&#x20;

Token Devs are now able to launch a staking pool along with their token. The aim of this tool is to provide **immediate utility to tokens and support their growth** / stability beyond the platform.&#x20;

Staking becomes available for use **after a token “jumps” to Uniswap**. Users are able to stake LP tokens ( A combinnation of Token X <> ETH ) to earn token X rewards. This all happens automatically with just a few clicks. **Anyone user who holds the Token** ( including if acquired after "jump" ) is able to participate in the stake to earn pool.\
\

**How to Launch:**

The design of the staking economy takes place prior to token launch. **It can only be edited at this point.** Once the token is live on the platform, these metrics **cannot be changed**. There are two factors that can be customized, these in turn will affect the initial APY (annual percentage yield) available - supply allocation and duration - the predicted APY will be shown at this point. This will reduce as the pool is diluted. These are shown in extra options on the token design page as below. In order to add a farm you must enter values into both fields:&#x20;

Once a token with staking successfully deploys on Uniswap, the stake to earn section will be available to access on the individual token page.\

**What does farming do for me ?**\
\
By staking LP  tokens (combination of Token X and ETH), you the user are able to earn two things. \
\
1\. Emissions - these are tokens that are set to be distributed to users who stake, based on the parameters used to design the staking pool. This is done via Basejump smart contract. These tokens come from the initial supply that was allocated to staking at token design stage.\
2\. Trading fees - Uniswap takes a small % for all trading pairs. A part of these fees are shared with LP providers. On removing your LP tokens from Basejump staking,  you will be automatically awarded the fee rewards from Uniswap. \

4. All tokens you are farming actively can be found quickly on your profile page. In order to manage your position there a few options, these are found on the farm tab as image below, simply click the button and approve transaction to carry out the action:

* Compound and stake returns
* Claim returns
* Stake more tokens
* Withdraw all

# How to Stake & Earn

**What is staking?**\
\
Staking is a well established DeFi tool rewarding liquidity providers with various types of rewards. At Basejump we allow tokens to allocate a custom portion of their supply to reward Stakers.

1\. Shows the act of creating LP - equal quantities (usd value) of ETH and Token X are combined to form an LP token. The act of “staking” is adding these to the liquidity pool. We allow users to do this directly from our token pages with one click\

2\. Shows the rewards received by stakers. These are sent in **REAL TIME** and can be claimed or compounded every 2 hours.

**What are the benefits?**\
\
Staking benefits are multifactorial for both teams and Individual\
\
Individual:\
\- Earn more Token X  on top of your asset\
\- Earn fees in the form of ETH from Uniswap\
\- Earn Basejump points from staking\
\
Teams:\
\- More liquidity for token means price action from large sells can be absorbed\
\- Stakers lock up supply therefore less token available on open market\
\- Users share their returns from tokens and can influence others to get involved\
\- Reduce the chance of PvP as confident holders stake their tokens for long run\

**How to Stake & Earn**\
\
&#x31;**.** First off find the token staking pool you want to engage with. The easiest way to see all available staking pools is via dashboard. You can browse by token name and see the current APY.

2. Select the token you wish to earn, in order to join the pool you will need to hold Token X and an equivalent amount of ETH to make LP. You can swap on the same page to acquire token.
3. Create and stake LP tokens - **done in one action using stake button** see image below. You will be asked to approve use of your token first, then you will able to stake ( 2 transactions ) Token X & ETH are combined  in equal proportions to form LP tokens. The act of staking is adding these to the Liquidity pool&#x20;


# User Profiles

User profiles have several features, these are displayed both to yourself and others. The list is as below:

* Track buys and launches&#x20;
* Track active staking activity
* Customise name and profile picture
* Add tags to your profile to let others know your skills / for fun&#x20;
* Generation of referral code
* Entry of referral code to reduce fees

To access your profile click Log In on top right hand side of page on Desktop / Mobile\
You will need to connect your wallet and sign a message ( no fees required ) \
The profile you create is **unique to your wallet**. If you **connect another wallet it will be another profile.**

To edit your profile click on profile, then click on edit on the profile display seen below. The fields you are able to edit are seen in above image. <br>

# Basejump Referral Program

&#x20;

* All Basejump users who create a profile are able to generate their own unique referral code
* Referral codes allow users to earn a portion of fees from new traders they recruit
* Use of a referral code by a new trader benefits them too, reducing fees by 10%
* Referral fees are **instantly sent** to your connected wallet in ETH

* Next 2 weeks 10% of fees.
* 4 weeks onward, 5% of fees.

How to set up referral? \
\
First connect wallet and open profile - more detail covered on [profile page](/user-profiles). There are two parts to referrals.\
\
**Referral code** is your own unique code that you can share with others to earn. Fees earned will be directly sent to the EVM address associated with the profile. You can share this code far and wide to earn on fees!\
\
**Applied referral code** is a code you enter from another user, this applies a 10% discount to your trading fees

To set up the codes click the edit icon. Set a username & enter the text field "Referral Code". Click save/set as seen below. This will prompt a transaction. You Must **approve** the transaction for the referral to be bound to your wallet. Referral codes **CANNOT be changed** once setup.\

# Telegram Bots / Token Services

**BuyBots:** Commonly found in telegram groups are "BuyBots" displaying latest purchases. In general the majorirty of major Telegram bots such as Safeguard, Rose, BubbleBuyBot, Coinranker etc. are compatible and work well with our token contracts.

**New Token Feed:** Basejump  "New Token" tracking bot which alerts users about the latest tokens launched on [basejump.pro](https://www.basejump.pro/) in real time. All users can access this tool and add it to their Telegram groups and channels: <https://t.me/basejumpnewtokens>\

**Telegram Trading Bots:** Access to trading on Basejump is not available publicly. At present the only integrated trading bot service is Prodigy Bot.\
